How To Grow Hydroponic Lettuce Indoors

Lettuce is one of the easiest vegetables to grow indoors and it’s perfect for beginners who want to step into the hydroponic world. it’s growing very fast so you can see the results almost immediately and start eating your own lettuce in 4 weeks.

So what you need in order to get started? here is the list

  • Container
  • Planting cups
  • pH meter
  • Hydroponic fertilizer
  • Hydrotone
  • pH Down
  • pH UP
  • Lettuce seedlings

The processes:

  • Fill the water in the container. leave space for the lettuce roots. The edge of the roots should be in the water and part of the roots should be in the air (to allow the roots to absorb the oxygen they need).
  • Lettuce Optimal pH is between 5.5-6.5. measure the pH using the pH meter and adjust the pH level using pH up or pH down as needed.
  • Add the hydroponic fertilizer according to the instructions on the package and mix well
  • Take the seedlings (starters), wash the soil from the roots, enter into the planting cup and add the Hydrotone to stabilize the plant.
  • After planting is completed – put the box on the windowsill (need little bit sun).

That’s it. watch the plants growing and in about 4 weeks you will be able to start eating fresh, delicious and chemicals free lettuce 🙂
